2021 AFCON: NFF Bows To Watford Pressure Withdrew Emmanuel Dennis From Eagles Squad

The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF have bowed to pressure mounted by Watford FC of England Manager, Claudio Ranieri on his refusal to release in-form Super Eagles striker, Emmanuel Dennis for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations, AFCON which starts on January 9.
The NFF on Saturday confirmed that Dennis have been withdrawn from the 28-man squad
“whose English Premiership club is baring fangs”
The federation made the confirmation in a statement on Saturday in which several other changes in the squad were effected.
“In-form rapid raider Emmanuel Dennis, whose English Premiership club is baring fangs, has been excused to provide room for Czech Republic –based forward Peter Olayinka,” NFF said.
Super Eagles squad has been largely depleted with the forced withdrawal of some key players including Napoli of Italy striker, Victor Osimhen.
