The 18-year-old was reportedly practicing with the University of Southern California (USC) basketball team when the event occurred, according to a statement to ESPN.
It stated, “Medical personnel were able to attend to Bronny and transport him to the hospital.”
He is no longer in the intensive care unit and is in stable condition.
“We beg for privacy and respect for the James family,” it said. “We will brief the media when there is new information.
LeBron and Savannah [his wife] would want to publicly express their gratitude to the USC medical and athletic personnel for their extraordinary efforts and commitment to the safety of their athletes.
“We are praying and hoping he makes a full and speedy recovery,” NBA legend Magic Johnson stated.
