Due to his 2022 rookie season wagering on league games, the 25-year-old has been suspended indefinitely.
Uwazurike will be suspended for at least a year and will not be able to seek for reinstatement before July 24, 2024.
In April, five players received suspensions, while three more players received 2023 bans last month.
According to a Broncos statement, “Our organization fully cooperated with this investigation and takes matters pertaining to the integrity of the game very seriously.”
The Denver Broncos have stated that they “will continue to offer all members of our organization the training, tools, and assistance required to ensure compliance with the NFL’s gambling policy.”
Calvin Ridley, a wide receiver then playing for the Atlanta Falcons, was suspended for a similar offense in 2022 but returned in March.
After Quintez Cephus, CJ Moore, and Stanley Berryhill were among the five players fined in April, the Detroit Lions released them.
The Tennessee Titans right lineman Nicholas Petit-Frere was punished for placing bets on other sports at the team’s facilities, and the Indianapolis Colts released Isaiah Rodgers and Rashod Berry after they were among three players suspended for the 2023 season.
