Russia attacked a blood transfusion facility during the conflict in Ukraine, according to Zelensky

In response to the incident that occurred around Kupiansk on Saturday night in the Kharkiv region, Volodymyr Zelensky shared a picture of a burning building.

“This war crime alone says everything about Russian aggression,” he declared.

Russia has made no remarks. It has previously refuted any claims that it has committed war crimes or targeted civilians.

During the initial days of Moscow’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine, which began in February 2022, the city of Kupiansk and surrounding towns were overrun by Russian forces.

The region was freed during a Ukrainian counteroffensive in September of last year, but it still experiences regular missile and mortar attacks.

Mr. Zelensky called the culprits “beasts” in an online post.

It was further said that “eliminating terrorists is a matter of honor for everyone who values life.”

The casualties were not specifically mentioned by Mr. Zelensky. However, local authorities later updated the image with information about the attack on what they called a non-residential facility.

In addition, President Zelensky reported that on Saturday, Russia launched a separate missile attack against an aeronautical firm operated by the Motor Sich group in the western Khmelnytskyi region.

According to the city’s mayor, Sergei Sobyanin, a drone was shot down by Russian air defenses on Sunday as it approached Moscow.

Russian police reported that two days in a row last week, Ukrainian drones attacked an office building on a Moscow skyscraper.

Ukraine hasn’t formally admitted to committing such assaults.

As the second such naval drone attack in as many days, Moscow has also charged Ukraine of attacking a Russian tanker with 11 crew members in the Black naval on Saturday.

According to Russian marine officials, the strike in the Kerch Strait damaged the Sig tanker’s engine room. Nobody was hurt.

The Black Sea and the Sea of Azov are connected by the Kerch Strait, which divides Russia’s Taman Peninsula from Ukraine’s Crimea, which Moscow annexed in 2014.
