According to the Ondo State Command of the Federal route Safety Corps, an accident occurred on Friday night in the Olokuta region of the Akure-Ondo route, claiming the lives of two individuals and injuring five others.
Mr. Ezekiel SonAllah, the FRSC’s state sector commander, verified the event in a telephone interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday.
Six adult males and one adult female were involved in the mishap, according to SonAllah, who stated that it happened at around 5:48 p.m.
“A Nissan Primera commercial vehicle with the license plate FGB-96XA and a Honda Accord sedan with the license plate MUS-834 AL were engaged in an accident on Friday at around 5:48 p.m. at the Olokuta Correctional Centre area along Akure-Ondo route.
“Four male adults and one female adult were hurt, and two male adults died at the scene.
“The vehicles have been turned over to the police,” he said. “The deceased have been deposited at the Ondo State Specialist Hospital morgue in Akure.”
SonAllah warned drivers to always obey traffic laws and regulations, stating that anyone caught breaking them will be detained and charged.
