George Says That No Candidate Deserves Win As The PEPC Decision Is Made Tomorrow

The petitioners, the PDP and Atiku Abubakar, its standard-bearer, and Peter Obi of the Labour Party, closed their cases in June after calling 40 of the 150 witnesses who had been originally listed in their petitions contesting Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress’ (APC) victory.

The court also postponed making a decision on petitions submitted by the Allied Peoples Movement (APM) contesting Tinubu’s declaration as the winner. In an interview with reporters at his Ikoyi office, George referred to the election as flawed and argued that the entire procedure should be scrapped in favor of a new election.

“It would be a disgrace to this nation if the judiciary declares anyone president, given the chaotic process we had during the presidential election in February,” he stated.

“The judges shouldn’t go that path at all. The process is flawed. Rerun the election if necessary. If it happens a million times, hold the election again. Kenya is currently at peace. They must hold the election again, the Supreme Court said.

George added that regardless of tomorrow’s results, the case will eventually reach the Supreme Court but expressed faith that PDP would secure victory. George expressed his displeasure with Nyesom Wike’s choice to join Tinubu’s administration by saying: “Wike may be an incredibly good man, but he must step carefully. It’s too early to leave the ship. The PDP believes it will prevail. Working for the opposition to create a government of national unity is not wrong. But first, the electoral process must be completed. Until we reach the Supreme Court, the election is not final.
