Changes Proposed By Kwankwaso To The NNPP Logo And The Constitution

Kwankwaso moves to change NNPP logo, amend constitution

The National Auditor of the NNPP, Ladipo Johnson, acknowledged the intention to change the constitution in an exclusive interview.

The development comes three days after the NNPP presidential candidate was ousted by a group of the party led by Major Agbo for allegedly engaging in anti-party actions and stealing party campaign funds.

Abdulrasaq stated that Kwankwaso was expelled immediately after failing to show up before the disciplinary panel to defend himself against the claims made against him.

Disaffection within the party after the removal of the former governor of Kano led to blame-trading among leaders of the opposition camps.

It was confirmed that the Kwankwaso camp had allegedly made a covert effort to change the NNPP founder Dr. Boniface Aniebonam’s hold on the organization’s logo and constitution.

The national auditor denied the action was taken in response to the establishment of a faction inside the NNPP, despite Johnson, the chairman of the disciplinary committee that expelled some factional party members a few weeks ago, having confirmed the development.
