Ibrahim Umar, 40, has been detained for the suspected ritual death of two casual laborers in Taranka village in Bauchi State’s Gamawa Local Government Area.
The two people went missing during the suspect’s stay in the said Taranka village, which is located in the Ungogo Local Government Area of Kano State. The suspect is a resident of Dankunkuru village.
According to reports, Umar was thought to be responsible for the disappearance of the villagers.
These were mentioned in a statement made accessible to journalists in the state on Tuesday by Ahmed Wakil, Police Public Relations Officer for the Bauchi State Command.
Police officers quickly detained the perpetrator after learning about the incident, according to Wakil, a Superintendent of Police.
He claimed that the state’s chief of police, Auwal Muhammad, called for restraint and denounced the brutal execution of the two casual laborers.
He issued a warning to the state’s citizens not to share unsubstantiated news on social media since doing so could destabilize the community and prevent justice from being served.
