The protest’s organizer, Ojo, informed lawmakers on Wednesday at the Assembly building that the group wanted justice for Mohbad.
A comprehensive inquiry and an inquest were demanded when Mohbad, a former performer for Marlian Records, passed away on September 12 according to The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN).
Ojo claimed that the fact that Nigerians were demanding justice for the popular singer’s untimely demise was no longer news.
Adedamola Kasunmu, the Deputy Majority Leader, addressed the demonstrators and praised them for arriving in the House of Assembly in a peaceful manner.
They received a guarantee from Kasunmu that their appeal would be brought before the House.
