Supreme Court Fire Breakout

The Supreme Court in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) is currently on fire.

As at the time this story was filed, the inferno’s origin was unknown, but a Federal Fire Service source claimed firemen were on the scene.

According to reports, three justices’ offices had burned down.

The fire incident is merely the most recent of many that have impacted Abuja’s government buildings.

The Nigerian Air Force Base, which is situated along Airport Road in the FCT, suffered extensive damage from fire in May 2023.

at Abuja, a fire broke out at the ministry of finance building in February 2022.

A portion of the Nigerian Postal Service (NIPOST) building in the FCT caught fire in May 2020.

The office of the accountant-general of the Federation (AGF) was housed in a building that was completely destroyed by fire a month before to that tragedy.

According to the Federal Fire Service (FFS), four years of fire occurrences cost Nigeria over N5 trillion.
