The 66th Grammy Award nominees will be revealed on November 10.

After the Grammy Academy announced the addition of three new categories—Best African Music Performance, Best Alternative Jazz Album, and Best Pop Dance Recording—the 2024 Grammy Awards are expected to go down in history.

Additionally, the award for the best African music performance will be given out live for the first time at the 66th Grammy Awards.

In the Best African Music Performance category, 122 songs were submitted, according to a news report from the chart news website Chart Data. Following the establishment of the new African category, a Billboard article identified Adekunle Gold’s “Party No Dey Stop,” Davido’s “Unavailable,” and Asake’s “2:30” as the front-runners for nominations in the new African category.

Nigerians’ interest in the Grammy Awards has grown over the years as a result of Burna Boy, Wizkid, and Tems’ victories.
