Idris Wase, the chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Federal Character, has pledged to endeavor to ensure that, in order to foster national unity, the makeup of government agencies reflects the federal character.
At the group’s first meeting in Abuja, Wase assured attendees that the committee would be rigorous in its supervision responsibilities to guarantee a fair distribution of employment throughout the nation.
He claimed that the committee was better prepared with sufficient legislative support to carry out its primary purpose.
The Federal Character Commission would brief the committee on its degree of compliance with the equal distribution of employment across the board on Tuesday, he added, noting that the commission would come before the committee that day.
He begged with his coworkers to give it their all because, in his opinion, they are more qualified and capable of handling what the constitution dictates.
