The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Mr. Oshodi, the father of the 11-year-old kid who was allegedly buried alive by his stepbrother at Apamsede, in Kogi, is on the run.
According to NAN, the stepbrother’s suspected tools of choice for the nefarious deed—a shovel and a cutlass—were also gone.
On Wednesday, the 11-year-old was found alive after being buried in a bush in the Silo community in Zango Daji, the state’s Adavi Local Government Area, by his stepbrother.
The stepmother allegedly accused the 11-year-old child of stealing N1,000 and told her son to punish him.
The 17-year-old allegedly buried his stepbrother alive after taking the 11-year-old into the woods to punish him.
Oshodi traveled, and the police were waiting for him to come back and give his side of the story, SP Williams Ovye-Aya, the police public relations officer for Kogi Command, had previously told NAN.
