On Wednesday, some Oyetubo Jokotade family members in the Sangotedo neighborhood of Ajah and their allottees demonstrated against what they claimed was the Lagos State Government’s disobedience of a court decision.
With signs in hand, the family members and the displaced people demonstrated against what they saw to be the police’s ongoing occupying of their land.
Additionally, they charged that despite having the governor’s approval, the government and its agencies had demolished roughly thirty residences.
The demonstrators also demanded that Babajide Sanwo-Olu, the state governor, put an end to the harassment they and their allottees were receiving from the Lagos State Task Force.
During the protest, Saliu Tajudeen, a family member, told reporters that someone was stealing roughly 11 hectares of land from their property by using the Lagos State Government’s name.
