The book written by Hadiza Usman, the former managing director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, is allegedly full of falsehoods about former minister of transportation Rotimi Amaechi.
This was said by Amaechi, a former adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari, on Thursday at the annual TheNiche lecture in Lagos, where he was the guest speaker.
Held at the Nigerian Institute of International Affairs on Victoria Island, the lecture’s theme was “Why We Stride and Slip: Leadership, Nationalism, and the Nigerian Condition.” Dr. Uma Eleazu, a former head of the National Policy Development Center, presided over the event.
For the first time since his unsuccessful run for president, Amaechi said that Usman had written falsehoods about him in his book “Stepping on Toes: My Odyssey at the Nigerian Ports Authority.”
Usman claimed in the book that he planned her dismissal from the position of NPA Managing Director, but Amaechi refuted this.
