Dr. Adefolalu Sherifat, a female instructor in the biochemistry department at the School of Life Sciences, Federal University of Technology, Minna, Niger State, was discovered dead in her home.
Sherifat was discovered in her home in the town’s Gbaiko Area, lying in a pool of blood.
Prof. Gbolahan Bolarin, the chairman of the Academic Staff Union of University, confirmed the tragic incident to Channels Television on Sunday.
According to Bolarin, the lecturer passed away, and her body was found when churchgoers tracked her down after she vanished during a service.
The deceased was found lying on the floor by several neighbors who broke down the door to her home.
Police officers subsequently transferred Sherifat’s body to the mortuary.
