The party’s National Secretary, Malam Umar Farouk, issued a statement in Abuja yesterday announcing the termination of appointments.
In what seems to be a direct result of the Supreme Court ruling upholding President Bola Tinubu’s election, Comrade Julius Abure, the National Chairman of the Labour Party, fired five of his most important political assistants.
“The termination of appointments of some of his aides with immediate effect has been approved by Barrister Julius Abure, National Chairman of the Labour Party,” the statement stated.He announced that all campaign-related posts had been formally terminated. The following appointees are affected: Engineer Balami; Mr. Mandela Ukegbu, Chairman, Labour Party Presidential Campaign Committee on Special Duties David Isaac
Senior Special Assistant for Fundraising, Grassroots Mobilization, and Presidential Campaign, Senior Special Advisor on Strategy, Protocol, and International Relations Didacus Joe-Adigwe Senior Special Assistants on Special Duties and Mobilization Princess Ajibola and Senior Special Assistant on ICT Isaac Imasuagbon.
“The National Chairman hopes they have success in all of their upcoming endeavors.”
