Akeredolu  appreciates the support, prayers of Tinubu and others 

The governor of Ondo State, Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu, has thanked President Bola Tinubu, the state’s residents, and other stakeholders for their support during his illness just 48 hours after his return to the country.

The governor informed the state House of Assembly of his return to duty on Friday, after taking a medical vacation in Germany.

He said that the public’s prayers had facilitated his recovery from the illness.

A statement that was released on Saturday said this. Thank you for your display of affection, read the statement. I’ve returned.

“I am profoundly moved by the outpouring of love and affection from illustrious people, groups, organizations, political allies, and particularly the good people of the Sunshine State,” he stated.

“During my rehabilitation journey, your outpouring of love in the form of prayers, kind words, encouraging messages, affectionate support, as well as innumerable manifestations of various types of brotherliness, was heart-lifting.

My healing and deeper enduring trust in God and service to humanity were both boosted by the love and prayers, which were in fact powerful boosters.

“I thank His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu, President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, for his love and support. You are a trustworthy leader and ally, Mr. President. I’m very appreciative. I extend my gratitude to all senators as well as the vice president, senator Kashim Shettima, and the Senate president, senator Godswill Akpabio.

The governor also thanked the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, which is “led by its Chairman and Executive Governor of Kwara State, AbdulRahman AbdulRasaq; and the Progressives Governors Forum, led by Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma.”

“My sincere appreciation to the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Abass Tajudeen; to all Members of the House; Members of the Federal Executive Council; National Leadership of the All Progressives Congress, led by the Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje; and to other distinguished leaders in the party,” he continued.

“I want to express my gratitude to the Nigeria Bar Association’s leadership, which includes esteemed members of the inner and outer bars. I want to express my sincere gratitude to all of the esteemed judges of the High, Appeal, and Supreme Courts. My Lord, I thank You. I want to express my gratitude to the people of Ondo State and everyone of Nigeria for their prayers and support.

“I thank members of the Ondo State House of Assembly, members of the State Executive Council, recently disbanded local government chairmen, heads of security agencies, revered royal fathers, serving and retired bishops, chief imams, clergymen, and other religious figures, forum of permanent secretaries, labor leaders, all civil servants, political leaders from all parties, market women, artisans, and members of the state Park Management Committee, as well as other individuals,” the statement reads.

“To the good people of Ondo State, know that we are steadfast in our commitment to enhancing their quality of life and pursuing our conviction for the development of our beloved state.
