The Daily Express provide a crucial update on Ousmane Dembele’s future. The English source claims that Arsenal are very interested in the Frenchman. They have already asked Barcelona to send them the player’s medical records amid his injury history.
The Express explain that the Gunners want to learn more about Dembele’s physical conditions before making an offer for the winger.
Curiously, Diario Sport reported exactly last week that Manchester United joined the race for the Frenchman and asked the Catalan club for the player’s medical records.
The source added that the Red Devils wanted to ‘examine the reasons’ behind the 22-year-old’s string of injuries before the potential move.
Dembele joined Barcelona from Borussia Dortmund in the summer of 2017 for a fee of €105m but his La Liga spell has been plagued by a series of hamstring injuries.
The Frenchman suffered a hamstring tear in early February and was forced to undergo surgery. He isn’t expected to play until the 2020/2021 campaign.
