Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman has informed Lionel Messi and Luis Suarez of his plans ahead of next season, according to report.
Koeman discussed with Messi, he wants the Argentine maestro to remain at Camp Nou for the coming season while the former Netherlands manager wants Suarez out of the club.
The newly appointed manager has reportedly informed the Uruguayan veteran that he isn’t counting on him for the 2020/21 season.
The former Liverpool striker has battled with fitness concerns over the past seasons, he has suffered a dip in form over the past 18 months.
Catalan radio station RAC1 reported on Monday that Koeman had informed Suarez of his decision in a phone call and that the plan now is very much to find a way to move him out of the club.
Suarez has a year left on his contract, however, there is an option for a further season which will become active if he plays a certain number of matches in the 2020/21 campaign.
Ajax is interested in signing Suarez, the attacker made it clear that he wants to remain at the Camp Nou but it seems not to be in the plans of Koeman going forward.
