Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang finally extends his Arsenal contract until 2023 after penning a new three-year deal on Tuesday evening.
The 31-year-old deal due to expire at the end of the season, with speculation mounting that he could seek a move away from Emirate Stadium in the search of Champions League football.
However, Aubameyang who has finished as Arsenal’s top goalscorer the past two seasons has now announced an extension to his contract until 2023 summer.
Gunners confirm the signing on the club social media and website few days after the club captain scored in their opening-day 3-0 win over Fulham.
Aubameyang has scored 55 goals in 86 Premier League games since moving to Emirates Stadium from Borussia Dortmund in January 2018.
Arsenal face West Ham at Emirates Stadium on September 19 before a Carabao Cup clash with Leicester City on September 22.
