Following Arsenal’s interest in the midfielder in January, Chelsea made a number of offers for him.Brighton believes that no other team has yet met their valuation, and they do not anticipate that to alter this summer.
After Alexis MacAllister left for Liverpool, Brighton is confident that they do not need to sell 21-year-old Ecuadorian Caicedo.
That position has been communicated to Caicedo, and Brighton doesn’t see a problem with it.
In January, the player requested to leave the Seagulls amid interest from Arsenal.
Brighton declined, and Caicedo later agreed to a new, till 2027, contract, which he did in March.
Chelsea has reportedly turned down proposals of £70 million and £80 million this summer.
After placing sixth in the Premier League the previous season, Brighton earned a spot in the Europa League.
