Chelsea 1-2 Liverpool: The Reds Earn Another Vital Win

Liverpool earned a vital win against a determined Chelsea at the Stamford Bridge, Trent Arnold and Roberto Firmino ensured the Reds wrap up the three points, N’Golo Kante scored the only goal for the home team.  Chelsea pushed forward in the midfield with a move initiated by Mateo Kovacic in the 10th minute by the Liverpool defence was intact to deal with the challenge.Emerson was substituted in the early minute as Frank Lampard opted to bring in Marcos Alonso.Alexander Trent Arnold broke the deadlock in the 14th minute after he curled in a shot to the top of the net to make it 1-0 for Liverpool.Tammy Abraham was set up in a one on one situation with Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian but his shot was blocked by the shot-stopper.  Liverpool made it two from another set-piece as Firmino powered it into the net through a powerful header.Kurt Zouma was thrown in for injured Christensen after the Dane defender collided with Fikayo Tomori with just a few minutes to end the first half.The first half ended with Liverpool the best side of the two.The second Chelsea pushed forward and it was in the 71st minute that N’Golo Kante had a breakthrough and scored a screamer for the Blues.Chelsea launched a series of attack in the second half in a bid to get the equaliser and make up for their poor first-half display.The game ended 2-1 in favour of Liverpool at the Stamford Bridge.
