Committee to end conflict between Akeredolu and Aiyedatiwa is led by Masari

After Rotimi Akeredolu returned from receiving medical treatment abroad, the ruling All Progressives Congress made a daring move to end the ongoing dispute between him and Lucky Aiyedatiwa, the governor of Ondo State.

The state House of Assembly served Aiyedatiwa with an impeachment notice, according to reports that have been circulating in the media for the past few weeks.

However, the lawmaker has not yet addressed all of the claims made in the notice.

The APC Director of Publicity, Bala Ibrahim, responded to the action in an exclusive conversation with our correspondent by saying that the ruling party was now considering the possibility of using an internal method to address the situation.

The National Working Committee, chaired by Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, could not leave the situation to the state to solve, according to Nze Chidi Duru, the party’s deputy national organizing secretary.

Aminu Bello Masari, the recently-retired governor of Katsina State, has been named chairman of a nine-person committee by the APC national chairman to arbitrate the dispute between the governor of Ondo and his deputy.
