Davido, a singer, made a sly jab at Amaju Pinnick, the former president of the Nigerian Football Federation, after the football official accused him of declining to appear at a gathering in Warri, Delta State, despite being paid more than $94,600.
The singer was criticized by Pinnick on Friday at the 19th installment of “Warri Again,” who said the organizers had also reserved a private plane for the “Unavailable Crooner” for $18,000 but that he had never arrived.
He claimed that in order to fill the spot, the organizers had to look elsewhere and choose Shallipopi.
The Afrobeats musician assured his supporters in Warri that he would soon visit their hometown, bragging that no one could stop him from performing anywhere in Nigeria in what appeared to be a reaction posted on X on Saturday.
Nobody can prevent me from giving a performance anywhere in Nigeria… I’ll see you soon, Warri,” he wrote.
Additionally, he shared a photo of the NFF logo with the remark, “Make I no talk.”
