Despite breaking numerous digital records, Davido clinched the “Digital Artiste Of The Year” at the Headies…how??
CKay was the first and the only Nigerian artist in Youtube’s history to have two music video hits and surpass 200 million views on the platform. The singer hit this mark with the acoustic version of ‘Love Nwantiti.’
Ckay is the most streamed African artiste on Spotify with over 1 billion streams on his songs. This is just one streaming platform.
Ckay has more subscribers across all music platforms than our 3 Goats (Wizkid, Burna Boy, and Davido).
So tell me, how did Davido win this category ahead of Ckay biko!!
I respect Headies for putting up a great award show for Nigerians, but they have to do better by giving awards to people that deserve it.
Ckay is way too underrated in Nigeria, If other countries can appreciate Ckay that much why would Headies award Davido the “Digital Artiste Of The Year” Award?
It shows we don’t appreciate our own and that’s sad.
