The verdict issued by the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC), validating the election of President Bola Tinubu, has been characterized as guesswork by the Party/Peter Obi Presidential Campaign Council in the 2023 general elections.
Okonkwo, a lawyer and Nollywood icon, asserted that Nigeria’s statutory laws are superior to decisions made by any court in the nation. He also emphasized that, under the provisions of Nigeria’s statutory laws, the judiciary is not authorized to enact new laws; rather, it is only permitted to interpret existing ones.

You cannot come here to deceive Nigerians. A man who lost an election in his own state, the FCT, couldn’t reach 25%, lost an election in the state of the National Chairman, and lost an election in the state where he ran for governor.
