Ex-minister US court judgment regarding Tinubu's CSU academic records is a national embarrassment.

Chief Osita Chidoka, a former minister of aviation, called a court order requiring Chicago State University to give Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, the PDP candidate for president in the 2023 elections, access to President Bola Tinubu’s academic records, a national disgrace.

The former Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Commission added that it was concerning that institutions like the Department of State Services, National Intelligence Agency, Independent National Electoral Commission, and the Embassy of Nigeria in Washington, DC, with its staff, were unable to explain the circumstances surrounding the President’s academic background, leaving Atiku with the difficult task of doing so.

On Saturday, a United States District Court for the Northern District of Illinois decided in favor of Atiku and mandated that President Tinubu’s academic record be made available to the former vice president by Chicago State University by Monday, October 2.

He emphasized that the situation was both a national and international embarrassment, and that the leadership and key institutions of this country should hang their heads in shame if it was ultimately discovered the occupant of the nation’s top office had faked his certifications.
