The Federal Government declared Friday that it is time for all Nigerians to unite and advance the country in the wake of the Supreme Court’s ruling on Thursday, which upheld President Bola Tinubu’s election.
In its initial official response to the Supreme Court ruling, the Federal Government urged Nigerians to be patient and hopeful that their country will overcome its current difficulties and grow stronger and more wealthy.
The Tinubu Administration is taking all necessary steps to ease these pains and lessen the impact of the foundational reforms that the government is implementing, according to Alhaji Mohammed Idris, Minister of Information and National Orientation, who made this statement at a press conference yesterday in Abuja.
As per the minister’s statement, President Tinubu has taken steps to improve the business and fiscal environment in Nigeria, increase foreign exchange supply, and establish a Presidential Fiscal Policy and Tax Reform Committee to reduce tax burdens on Nigerians. He has signed no fewer than five Executive Orders to this effect since taking office. The Minister stated that “Nigerians can rest assured that they will be implemented” after the Committee submitted its initial set of reform recommendations to the President.
