Heavy Flood In Gwagwalada, Abuja As Houses And Shops Collapse (See Photos & Video)

Flood is one of the major hazard that affects humans around the world as it can even lead to lost of life and properties.

On Saturday Morning as at 5:23am, a mild wind started which led to rainfall in Abuja and near by states (Niger, Nasarawa). Naijafinix online reporter, Mr Emmanuel who resides in Gwagwalada Area Council Abuja stated;

As at the early hours of 25th July the rain fell till 11am, hence due to the heavy outflow of Gwagwalada river and lack of drainage system in the residents around the river and substandard drainage system where flooded and this led to loose of properties and displacement of people in the area. As at the time this report was gathered so many people where made homeless
