The Houston Rockets on Wednesday night defeated the Oklahoma City Thunder in an epic Game 7 duel to advance to the Western Conference Semifinals against Los Angeles Lakers. The game which ended 104 – 102 in favour of the Rockets saw harden coming through for the Rockets at the Defensive end with a clutch block on Lu Dort on what could have been a potential game-winning 3-pointer for the Thunders, Harden who had a bad day offensively still managed to register 17 PTS, 9 AST.
Russel Westbrook bounced back from his mistake filled Game 6 to score 20 PTS, 9 REB and 2 AST for the Rockets, support also came from fellow teammates like Robert Covington who stepped up & added 22 PTS, 10 REB, 2 AST for the Rockets, Eric Gordon was sure to make his contribution by scoring 21 PTS, 3 REB and 2 AST for the Rockets as well.
Chris Paul of the Oklahoma City Thunder finished with 19 PTS, 11 REB & 12 AST to become the oldest player to have a triple double in Game 7, Lu Dort who was there for the Thunder defensively playing hard defence on James Harden and on the offensive part scoring 30 PTS, 4 REB & 1 AST still wasn’t enough to give the Thunders a win.
The Houston Rockets will square up against The Los Angeles Lakers in the Western Conference Semifinals.
