Barcelona striker Luis Suarez has
claimed that he will return better after the injury layoff that has kept
him out of action for over two months.
The attacker said that during an interview via a video call on Uruguayan news program ‘Underline’ of channel 10.
He was quoted via Marca: “I’m going spectacular, I was already starting to run. When I return to the team, I’ll be with them.”
As he continues battling his injury problem, Suarez has also joined the fight against the coronavirus pandemic in his country.
The
Barca sharpshooter donated 500 food and hygiene baskets for the less
privileged families in Charrúa and urged people to buy the products in
shops in the neighborhood.
He left a message for his nation:
“The cases are growing day by day, health is overflowing and that
worries. My message for Uruguay is that we have to stay at home so that
the virus goes away quickly. Force Uruguayans, that we are going to be
able to go out together”
Suarez bagged 14 goals and 11
assists for Barca this season before injuring his knee in the Spanish
Super Cup clash with Atletico Madrid in January.
