Thirty-three people have been detained by the Amotekun, commonly known as the Ondo State Security Network Agency, for their involvement in different criminal operations within the state.
The 18 local government areas in the state have seen the arrest of the suspected offenders, according to Adetunji Adeleye, the state commander of the corps.
Adeleye made this statement on Monday at the command’s headquarters in the state capital of Akure, while parading the suspects.
He claimed that among other offenses, the suspects’ arrests included kidnapping, burglary, and theft.
