In Warri, the EFCC detains 40 online fraudsters.

In Warri, Delta State, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission detained 40 alleged internet fraudsters on Friday.

It was discovered that the suspects were detained by EFCC agents from the Benin Zonal Command.

The suspects were described as being “involved in various forms of online fraud, such as romance scams, identity theft, phishing, and money laundering” in a statement by EFCC spokesperson Wilson Uwujaren.

It stated that the suspects had provided valuable information and would face charges in court as soon as the investigations were finished.

The EFCC asked the public to be on the lookout and report any suspected online fraudster activity to the commission’s office in your area or online.

The Commission reaffirmed its dedication to battling economic crime and corruption in Nigeria.
