Two suspects have been detained by members of the Zamfara State Police Command in relation to the death of Hamisu Danjibga, a reporter for the Voice of Nigeria in the state.
This was announced by the state’s police commissioner, Muhammad Shehu, on Tuesday when he paraded the suspects before the media during a press conference in the Gusau axis.
Mansur Haruna, Danjigba’s nephew, and Ibrahim Garba, his friend, were the suspects, according to Shehu, and they had planned to kidnap the seasoned journalist.
He claimed that when the journalist protested the suspects’ move, they fatally stabbed him.
The commissioner also displayed three additional individuals who are thought to be bandits with a penchant for kidnapping and raping women.
A second guy was also put on display for allegedly supplying Abia State with weapons.
