The victory extended India’s 21-year streak of unbeaten Tests against the West Indies and was the highest margin of victory in a Test match in the Caribbean.
Prior to the West Indies’ batting imploding for the second time in the game, Jaiswal’s hundred was supported by Rohit Sharma’s 103 and Virat Kohli’s 76 in India’s innings.
At the Queen’s Park Oval in Port of Spain, Trinidad, the second and final Test of the series begins on Thursday.
