The governorship elections in Kogi, Bayelsa, and Imo states on November 11 are very important, according to the Independent National Electoral Commission.
This was said by Prof. Mahmood Yakubu, the chairman of INEC, on Wednesday during the quarterly consultative meeting with civil society organizations.
Yakubu declared that INEC will keep pleading with the security services to allow election observers free passage to polling and collation sites.
Additionally, he exhorted authorized observers to rigorously follow the election observation code of conduct.
Yakubu stated that 7,896 observers have been deployed by 145 accredited organizations.
