According to a recent report, Inter Milan have supposedly had a
change of heart and could now go after the signing of Manchester United
star Alexis Sanchez.
The Chilean had previously made the jump over to the San Siro on a
season-long loan deal, but with initial reports indicating that United
wanted him back and Inter weren’t interested in keeping him on the
books, it seemed as if his time in Italy was going to be cut short.
Now, though, Dries Mertens’ decision to stay with Napoli as opposed
to joining Inter Milan has cast a shadow of doubt over Antonio Conte and
has seemingly made him re-think his options regarding Sanchez.
If the deal is to go ahead, though, they want the former Arsenal star
to lower his wage demands by around 50% – and alongside that, they are
only willing to offer United a fee of around €20 million to get the deal
done.
