The management of Rivers State University has declared that Phillip Odereghi, the man who was detained on Tuesday on suspicion of scamming prospective employees out of enormous sums of money, is not an employee of the organization.
Odereghi had pretended to be an employee of the university in order to gain the trust of the 15 people he was accused of defrauding by falsely promising them jobs at the institution.
After a few months, some of his victims saw him at the University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital. They approached him, but the hospital’s security guards quickly intervened and turned him over to the police, foiling their attempt to take matters
into their own hands.
The chairman of IPAC charged Nigerians with holding the judiciary responsible.
He also emphasized that there should be no intervention with the Electoral Act of 2022, as this could cause confusion and division in the nation.
