Atalanta have officially appointed former Manchester United football director John Murtough as their new director of global development, the Serie A side announced on Tuesday.
Murtough departed Old Trafford in April 2024 after over a decade at the club, following Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s takeover of football operations.
Atalanta stated that the 54-year-old English executive will report directly to Sporting Director Tony D’Amico and will be instrumental in advancing the club’s global strategy and long-term vision.
