Simon Lalong, the minister of labor and employment, urged the workers of the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) on Thursday to keep working hard to implement the Employee Compensation Scheme (ECS).

The Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund (NSITF) employees were exhorted by Simon Lalong, minister of labor and employment, to continue working hard to execute the Employee Compensation Scheme (ECS).

Later, as he led the NSITF focal officers on a roadshow to commemorate the occasion, the Minister was thanked by the Executive Director, Administration of the Fund, Prof. Gabriel Okenwa, who also noted that this was the first time in the agency’s history that its overseeing Minister would inaugurate Customer Service Week.

He told the Minister that the Fund has already embraced the Federal Government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, including openness, effective resource allocation, and streamlining Fund operations in line with international best practices.

The Executive Director is cited as saying, “Our new mantra is that this fund, “the NSITF Can,” in a statement released by the General Manager of Corporate Affairs of the Fund, Nwachukwu Godson. Even though there have been mistakes in the past, the current management and staff are moving forward with a relentless determination to make sure we fulfill our demanding commitment to the workplace.
