Everton manager Frank Lampard has heaped plaudits on Alex Iwobi following the winger’s impressive performance in Saturday’s win against Leeds United, reports Completesports.
The Nigeria international has struggled for game time this season and has been criticized for his inconsistent showing since linking up with the Toffees from Arsenal.
Iwobi was handed a rare start in the 3-0 win against Leeds United at the Goodison Park and the player grabbed the opportunity by churning out a superb display against Marcelo Bielsa’s men.
“One of the beauties of coming in like this is it’s a restart for everybody,” Lampard said after the game.
