Liverpool has backed out in the race to sign RB Leipzig striker Timo Werner after Chelsea agreed on a deal in principle with the German attacker.
The reports in England revealed that Chelsea has reached an agreement with the German star and they have also agreed to meet Leipzig buyout clause, believed to be around €55m.
The German attacker has been previously linked with a move to Liverpool and he also stated that the would love to work with Jurgen Klopp.
Liverpool was interested in Werner but the release fee of the German attacker deterred their move for the attacker.
Liverpool attacker Roberto Firmino, Said Mane and Mohammed Salah remain untouchable at Anfield over the past three seasons which means Werner will struggle for playing time at Anfield and the German star understands this and agreed to join Chelsea.
