
Serge Gnabry’s brace and Robert Lewandoski’s goal in the 3-1 win over Lyon on Wednesday evening power Bayern Munich to the finals of the Champions League.
Lyon had the chance to score the opener but Memphis Depay blasted the opportunity in the opening four minutes of the clash, Lyon Karl Toko Ekambi was denied by the pole after he found his way through the defence.
Bayern Munich attacker Serge Gnabry was precise enough in front of goal to put the Bavarian ahead in the 18th minute of the match, the young attacker was at it again in the 33rd minute to score the second goal form a close range to give the German club a-two lead before the close of the first 45 minutes.
Both teams kept attacking in the second half but Bayern Munich had great control of the game in terms of ball possession as they aim to protect their 2-0 lead.
Finally Robert Lewandowski showed his scoring ability after he beat his marker and put the ball inside the net to make it 3-0 in the 90th minute.
The German Champions Bayern Munich will be up against Ligue 1 Champions Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday in the final showdown of the Champions League.
