Man Utd Flop Lukaku Equals Ronaldo’s Record In Serie A
Manchester United flop Romelu Lukaku has equaled the record of Brazilian legend Ronaldo de Lima after scoring his ninth goal from his 11 Serie A games for inter Milan.
Lukaku scored a brace against Bologna as he notched his eighth and ninth goal of the season as Inter Milan came from behind to record a 2-1 win against Bologna.Ronaldo’s goalscoring record has stood since 1997/98 and the Belgian equaled it with a tap in and a late penalty to keep Inter second in the league.Lukaku became the first Inter player to score nine in their first 11 Serie A games since the famous Brazilian.
Ronaldo finished the 97/98 season with 25 goals which will be a target for Lukaku who struggled to make much impact at Old Trafford for Manchester United.The sale of Lukaku to Inter Milan pave way for Marcos Rashford as Manchester United main striker and he only scored three goals in nine games since his brace against Chelsea, but he has managed five goals in 11 games.Inter Milan is second on the Series A table just a point behind league leaders Juventus while Manchester United is on 10th position on the Premier League table.
