Management Holds Candlelight Thursday For Mohbad, Youths ProtestJPEG

Ilerioluwa Aloba, commonly known as Mohbad, was a late Nigerian singer. His management has scheduled a candlelight vigil and tribute concert in his honor.

At the age of 27, Mohbad, a former signee of Naira Marley at Marlian Records, passed away on Tuesday.

Since Mohbad’s passing, his supporters and admirers have demanded a thorough investigation to determine the cause of his demise.

On Monday night, the late singer’s management posted on his social media accounts, saying they “appreciate the outpouring of love from Fans across the world to the ones who’ve organized events in their communities as a way to honour and pay respect to our shining light we say thank you.” Come to the candlelight procession and memorial concert for Mohbad.

On September 21, 2023, the candlelight procession will begin at Lekki Phase 1 Gate at 5 p.m., and the Tribute Concert will begin at 8 p.m. in Muri Okunola Park, Lagos State.

Young people in the Panseke neighborhood of Abeokuta, Ogun state, have taken to the streets to protest Mohbad’s killing and demand justice.

The youths gathered in large groups at the Skating Ground Arena, dressed all in black and holding signs that read, among other things, #Who off Light and #JusticeForMohbad.
