A police official described the new detainees’ living arrangements by saying, “They are not staying together; they are in separate rooms. The singer is being sued by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on 11 counts that include conspiracy and credit card fraud, and the judge has asked her attorney, Olalekan Ojo (SAN), to appear in court on October 30.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission’s spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, commented on the situation, saying, “The production warrant issued by the judge today has required Naira Marley’s attorney, Olalekan Ojo, to present the singer in court at the next adjourned date, which is October 30. The singer cannot be removed from police detention by the EFCC.
