President Bola Tinubu was congratulated by Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State on his Supreme Court triumph on Thursday.
The majority of voters in the nation overwhelmingly supported Tinubu and the All Progressives Congress, according to the governor, who hailed the outcome as a victory for democracy.
This was said by the governor in a statement released on Thursday by Richard Olatunde, his chief press secretary.
The statement said, “The long-running legal controversy involving the 2023 presidential election, in which President Bola Tinubu emerged as the clear winner, has been definitively resolved by the Supreme Court’s ruling.
“This ruling reflects the will of the Nigerian people as a whole, who overwhelmingly supported President Tinubu and the APC, and it strengthens public confidence in our judiciary as the last line of defense for the interests of the people.”
“The prolonged legal process has further underscored the strength of our democracy,” Akeredolu continued. It’s time to work with President Tinubu to create a new Nigeria, now that the opposition is utilizing its constitutional rights.
