Nigeria Police raid a woman's home who sued the inspector general, Egbetokun, and other officers.

On Friday, members of the Nigerian Police Force broke into Peace Ekom Robert’s home because she had been listed as a wanted person.

Ekom claimed that the police had been intimidating her family members and close acquaintances and had positioned themselves strategically around her home.

On August 19, 2023, Robert filed a lawsuit at Akwa Ibom State High Court in Uyo against IGP Kayode Egbetokun, the Police Service Commission, three police officers, and Ifenyinwa Anthonia Olua (Ugo).

Ekom claims that her constitutional and fundamental rights were violated, and she is asking for N520 million in damages.

Ekom further claimed that FCID Abuja’s CP Ibrahim Baba Zango, the department’s commissioner of police, had been trying to kill her by sending officers to abduct and kill her while legal proceedings against him and other police officials were pending.

Ekom clearly declared that she never rebelled against the NPF officers over their correct handling of the inquiry into this offshore transaction, which Ifeyinwa Anthonia Olua and her associates had started.
