A Nigerian man, Peter Mbuba, has praised some police officers in Edo state for coming to his aid after his car suffered a burst tyre on the express road in Okad community in Edo state. Mbuba in his post said he was travelling from the East when his car suffered a burst tyre in a dangerous location on the express road. He said like angels, the officers and their DPO pulled up in their van, helped him with changing his tyre and waited for him until he left the dangerous area. He wrote
‘’This afternoon Sunday 24th August 2025, we were coming back from the east at about 2:35pm, some few kilometres to Okada in Edo State. We had a burst tyre in a very lonely part of that Expressway. We started working on changing the bad tyre, but my jack was malfunctioning. Suddenly a police van pulled up and the policemen just like angels sent by God, assisted us with their own jack, assisted us and stood by us until we were able to put our car back on the road. They confirmed to us that the location was dangerous.
The most shocking aspect was that they refused to take the money I offered to them in appreciation.
The men of Okada Division in Edo State are a rare bunch of policemen.
The DPO, CSP John Obatoyinbo who led this team was so humble and kind. They showed me today that we still have decent and noble policemen in Nigeria.
Thank you so much CSP John Obatoyinbo. God bless you and your team.”
